What's A Fanlisting?

Definition from TFL.org:

A fanlisting is simply an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country.

Team Rocket are the original villains from the world of Pokemon. They are an organised crime syndicate which uses Pokemon to carry out its dirty work, ultimately aiming to take over the world. Team Rocket appears in the Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow Gameboy series (plus the remakes, Fire Red and Leaf Green) and in the Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal series, during which they were disbanded.

Team Rocket also appears in the anime, usually represented by its three most famous members: Jessie (Musashi), James (Kojiro) and Meowth (Nyarth). Their task is to steal Pikachu from Ash, the protagonist and all-round good guy. They have yet to succeed, but it's fun to watch them try ^^ Maybe someday, huh?

Why make a fanlisting for Team Rocket, especially as there are already fanlistings for Jessie and James? Well, I have a number of reasons. Firstly, I've always had a preference for the bad guys. But you could hardly call Jessie and James 'bad'; when I first saw the Pokemon anime, the only reason I liked the pair was because of their snazzy uniforms. And Jessie's hair.

But I love Team Rocket as a whole much more than I love Jessie and James. I became seriously interested in the Rockets after seeing their Boss and other members, and even more so after playing the Gameboy series. I have a strange fascination with organised crime, and the idea of a 'Pokemon mafia' just seems so cool.

I like to look into the serious side of things, and a lot of Team Rocket's back-story is very serious (and is therefore not widely known nor talked about in the series, because it's not the kind of thing you'd find in something marketed mainly at children). Their history includes stuff like genetic experimentation and cloning.
